SD Zapper Zaku Kai

Once again, another way-too late post. This was my entry for MechaPinoy's in house contest, SD Con 2010. The kit is from SD Gundam Force. The Zaku captain Zapper Zaku. This was one of my very first fully modified kits. And as you can see in the photos, I couldn't mod to save my life when I Built this. Holes drilled, some panel lines scribed, IC sockets inserted, putty shaping on the chest, some pla plating and the only mod that did work, proportion extensions to the torso, arms, ankles, thighs and neck. The only joint that wasn't extended was the shoulders. Finished, this kit is about 2cm taller than the original.

This kit was painted with Bosny Signal Red, Bosny Flat Black and Tamiya Gunmetal. I already had an airbrush when I did this, but have not yet properly learned to use it. So I stuck to spray cans. The rifles came from the non-grade 1/144 Strikes and the swing arm for the Gatling gun is from the Launcher striker pack.

Master Gundam Atrocitus

This build is inspired by the Red Lantern Atrocitus. It's just too bad my masking skills are not yet at par for me to put the Red Lantern insignia on to his chest. But either way, I'm satisfied with the outcome. This build is mostly OOTB. Just some prepaint mods and some snips to add some space for movement for the cape.

This build was done in 2 weeks (13 days to be exact). I found out I follow deadlines better when I write them down. Good stuff. Primed with Bosny Primer Grey and airbrushed with Tamiya acrylics.
Red: Chrome Silver 40%, Red 60%
Black: Gold leaf 50%, Flat Black: 50%
Blue: Sky Blue 50% Gunmetal 40% Flat Black 10%

Exia Crossbone X-2

This kit was my entry for MechaPinoy's in-house contest Omni Mecha Crossover which was held in Ozine Fest 2011. The theme of the contest was to create a mecha in the colors and markings of another mecha in a different Gundam timeline or universe. In this case, it's the Gundam Exia in Crossbone X-2's colors. Still a lot of improvement to be made as I totally messed up the gloss topcoat making it look like the paint is too thick. Either way, I'm proud of this kit. Pics!

The GN condenser on the last image got scratched sometime between the contest and the time I Photographed this. Oh well XD
Yes, this post is nearly a year late, but I'm building the gallery section and this has to come up.

Mop-up Operations

4:15 PM
Well whadd'ya know, I actually got four of the six kits I put in my wishlist two years ago XD

So I fixed up the labels for easier sorting, and I installed Linkwithin. Which is awesome, btw. Also deleted old posts that are no longer relevant.

4:43 PM
Done fixing broken links and added links to blogroll and links section.

7:17 PM
Took lots of photos for graphics. Installed Photoshop. Made temporary banner. Smells dinner.

8:15 PM
New banner up. New navigation links. Removed some unnecessary things. Updated to new MP logo. Added Proudly Pinoy widget. Some respacing left and right. Hmm, I actually finished one of my WIFs.

So I went to sleep early and my net was messed up this morning and today is Tuesday and the time is-
4:29 PM
Added Tutorial page and moved things around so it's not as cluttered.

4:43 PM
Added Home link and updated the welcome screen from the old URL redirect.
Let me just share this:
A better version of my Lightfinger.

6:58 PM
Got distracted doing laundry. Set up the Hangar section. Made thumbnail banners for WIPs and finished kits. Posted the Exia for hangar content.

It's Wednesday, at 4:05 AM. I'm getting there.

4:15 AM
All the kits are now in the Hangar. I'll just have to upload pics of the Freedom Striker and the Astray Zero. I'll do those later. Enjoy the Yotsuba 404s for now.

Thursday the fifteenth.
7:01 PM
Finally finished watermarking, resizing, post-processing, and uploading photos for all the kits in the Hagar. Lots of photos for the Astray. Pretty long post too. Also removed and reinstalled Linkwithin to remove posts that I've deleted. Apparently doesn't work that way. The Linkwithin widget may still display dead links to deleted posts.

New Start in the Year of the Apocalypse!

Okay, I've pushed things back way too far this time. But I'm really fixing up this blog this time after so many times I promised to do it. And guess what? I moved AGAIN! Okay, really. This will be the final move. No more URL changing. ZeddGundam is here to stay.

So I've finished a few kits since I last updated. And Pie has since then purchased a Nikkon D3100 which I can use as much as I want, and led to a large amount of photographs from my builds. That's a good start for getting this blog moving again.

I'm joining BAKUC or GBWC or whatever it's called this year. Yes, I'm joining and am going for the New Challengers category. You can only win that gig once, so it's worth a shot.

Time to install Photoshop and start with new graphics. See you in a bit.

Cleaning time

Seems I let a thin layer of dust settle on my blog once more. Time to clean this up. I'll take some time this week to update this blog once more; fix broken links, redo graphics, organize old posts (and labels) and will probably add a few more stuff. And of course, start posting Gundam stuff again.
