WIP: 1/144 HG Virtue Gundam Part 5

Progress:
-Cemented and sanded parts that can be sealed before painting.
-Removed the armor seams on the second pair of arms (since, technically speaking, there are no Nadleeh arms within them, so those don't need to break open.)
-Tightening joints and polycaps with Bosny flat clear.
-Cemented and puttied the shoulder mods where the second pair of cannon cases mount to.
Since I wasn't too busy today, I took pics as I went on to continue sanding down the plastic and cement.

Flat black base coat for the gunmetal. No seams here.

WIP: 1/144 HG Virtue Gundam Part 4

UPDATE!

Can't seem to find a Virtue anywhere so I got a Trans Am one. I'll paint it anyway.

Not very menacing in a calm pose.

Then, try this.

This too. Yes, he'll definitely need a display base.

WIP: 1/144 HG Virtue Gundam Part 3

UPDATE!

Initially, I wanted to put hip/waist mounted weapons on this. Say, like those from freedom but mainly, blast impulse. But I couldn't find a 1/144 FG Blast Impulse in Megamall today so I went home empty handed. But when I got home, I realized now what I really want to do with this kit. Bash it with another Virtue.

It'll sport four arms, two bazookas, and four pairs (eight barrels) of GN cannons.

Seen here is burst mode. On a regular Virtue, the chest opens and reveals a GN condenser to be able to feed power to burst mode. I got that taken care of because I'll be putting GN condensers on both shoulders on the first pair of arms. Two arms on either side will hold a bazooka to each front shoulder.

WIP: 1/144 HG Virtue Gundam Part 2

Update! Yeah!

I carved toes unto the foot to give a GP02 feel. Hahaha. Minute, but I like it.

Test fit.

MG Wing Gundam Ver Ka Wing Mod

Greetings! This is the wing mod for the MG Wing Gundam Ver Ka. It'll allow the wings to pop open to six different wing pieces instead of the initial two big wings.

Xy got me early Christmas presents which included the knife I used.

Materials needed:
-Hobby knife
-Varying grit of sandpaper
-Plastic cement
-Putty
-Wing Ka (kahit pakpak lang XD)

1.1. Cut the pink lines with your knife.
-The white and red parts to separate.
-The blue part near the backpack joint and the large yellow part to allow room for movement.

1.2. The pink circle represents a male-female peg on the blue piece. Trim that off.

1.3. The red circle and red line represent points of contact for the would-be moving parts. Cut carefully and make sure they allow for movement.

1.4. The green line is optional. I cut mine off.

2. Cutting's the easy part.

3. Cement and putty.

4. Let dry, let cure, cut out the excess putty and sand.

And there you go.

Here are some more pics of the wings after I finished sanding. Enjoy!

Enjoy!
I hope this helps the next guy that builds this kit!
Comments and criticisms welcome.

WIP: 1/144 HG Virtue Gundam

Before the operation:
The Virtue was built nine months ago. The builder (moi) made a terrible noob mistake of using pylox paints. Since that day, this model started to chip and get ugly. Time for a new look.

Gundam To-Do List

Haven't posted anything in a while, yeah. Busy busy. For now. I'll list down my Gundam "to-do" list so I don't get mixed up with three unfinished works on my table XD

Finish Universal Century -In Progress
-Only finished Crossbone and Stardust. Now watching 0079.

Buy -Done!
-Xacto knife, sandpaper, putty, primer, polyurethane reducer (good substitute for Tamiya cement) and paints.

Finish Virtue -In Progress
-Custom stuff. I stripped the old paint and adding plates.

Finish Over Flag.
-Same as Virtue. Repaint and I'm gonna add a GN Drive.

Finish Astraea.
-Just minor paint job tweaks. Otherwise OOB.

Finish Wing Ver Ka
-I'm planning dark paints on this. Also do mods on the wings and add the samurai mod if I get to plan it right.

In Brightest Day, In Blackest Night

Over the past few weeks, releases of DC's Blackest Night came with rings from different lantern corps. The Black Lantern ring came out a few months earlier, and the colored ones came out in two's every week this November. Just last week, I finally had the last two, the red and the green.

So, picture.

A little bright for Sinestro.
